I am so excited for Hanna & Wes’s wedding next year at The Creamery – a restaurant and inn that used to be a cheese factory in Wisconsin! Anyway, I am sure that I will go on and on about their wedding in due course, but for now I will focus on their fun engagement photos at Como Park in St Paul. Things were already going well, and then Hanna pulled out cowboy boots *and* hot pink pumps! I am not a huge shoe person, but I was totally won over all over again!
Joyce and Dan had a lovely wedding at the Como Park Conservatory this June. The setting sun was a perfect backgrop for photos with the Como Conservatory, and even their dog was able to join us for a quick few photos.

Summit Brewery in St Paul is releasing a new beer to add to their impressive collection – Horizon Red Ale. I had the opportunity of tasting this new brew with the brew master one morning, and he even led us on a tour of the plant. I should say for the record that I don’t generally like hop-centered beers, but I was really impressed by the nice balance of this one – a little fruity to counter the bitterness. This is a complicated beer, but one that I could imagine drinking on the patio with a nice brat.
I had a great time photographing Sara and Eric’s wedding in downtown St Paul. Because the ceremony and reception were at the same place, we went over to Rice Park for some photos with the wedding party. Even though it started to rain a little, the whole group were good sports, and we found some covered areas with some great architecture. Their reception had a classy state fair theme, complete with cookies, a photo booth, and funnel cake!
Gotta love a couple that knows how to dip!

Emily and Matt were married on the Padelford Showboat in St Paul. We had a great time beforehand taking photos at Como Park before heading over to Harriet Island. The showboat is used mostly as a theatre, and so it had a very lavish interior with fabulous views of the Saint Paul Skyline.
Chrissy & Matt had a gorgeous wedding at Northwestern College, at the stunning and lavish Nazareth Hall. They had great weather, and so we were able to take fun photos all over the grounds.
I had a really great time photographing Rachel in downtown St Paul last week. We spent most of our time right around Mears Park in St. Paul, and the low light and high winds made for some really fun shots.
Sara & Jason had a gorgeous and classy wedding in St Paul hitting all the highlights – the beautiful Hamline United Methodist church, Photos at Rice Park, and a reception at the Crowne Plaza Riverfront. The weather threatened rain, and delivered in small mists, but Sara and Jason have a fun loving group of friends that stuck it out for some great photos.
The church at Hamline University itself is gorgeous and gothic, featuring a full pipe organ behind the altar and lovely stone arches.
In between the ceremony and reception, the bridal party made a little pit stop in downtown St. Paul to relax and watch the game.

During the reception, Jason did a fantastic serenade of “Humpty Hump”, which was a fantastic first for me and really got the party going!
