Lately, my husband and I have been spending time on the road in Wisconsin photographing stories about food. In Black River Falls, we had the pleasure of meeting the folks at the Sand Creek Brewery, located in a fabulous old stone building right off of the downtown strip.

I am so excited that several of my photos are appearing in the Wisconsin Master Cheesemakers and the Specialty and Farmstead Dairy brochures for this year from the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. Many of these photos were taken during the research for “Master Cheesemakers of Wisconsin” which will be on bookshelves starting in November.
I had a wonderful time with Tina & Jesse in Madison a few weeks back. They were married earlier this spring (yay!) and wanted some more photos of just the two of them. I hadn’t had the chance to shoot much inside the capitol before since it is not a great place for whole wedding parties, but it was to be able to play around in such a cool building, and Tina and Jesse were great sports!
Leah & Charlie – preview
Leah & Charlie had a fabulous wedding in Madison – I can’t wait to finish editing the vintage theater ceremony and reception pics, but here is a little preview from our run up to the Madison capitol.
I had the pleasure of photographing Kate and John’s wedding in Madison in June. Kate and I went to high school together, and it was great to meet John and see some familiar faces, but it was mostly wonderful to hang out with them and photograph their wedding. We trekked to the Allen Centennial Gardens on the UW campus, then onto the Wisconsin Memorial Union (a favorite haunt of mine) and then to the Wisconsin Capitol. Thanks for having me along for the ride!
