Derek’s bike & light photoshoot {high school senior}

At one point, I had a light with a blue gel off to the side accenting a bike in the background, and another light off to the side. I said “this is really cool, but also a little out there” to which he said “awesome.”

Ian’s skateboarding portraits {high school senior}

Ian and I spent some time in downtown St Paul, found a cool parking lot, spent some time in a decaying yellow alley, and generally took some cool portraits for his high school senior photos.

TJ {St Paul Senior Photos}

I had an awesome time with TJ in downtown St Paul (along with his brother and step brothers, more photos to follow!) TJ plays the drums, and really liked the urban aesthetic, so we found a few fabulous alleyways to shoot in.

A fantastic baby session at the W hotel

Almost 2 years ago, I photographed Jodi and Steve’s wedding in Detroit Lakes, MN. They lived in New York at the time, and we didn’t meet until the morning of their wedding, but we really hit it off and I had a great time getting to know their family and friends during their awesome wedding!

Well, fast forward a few years, and they have a new addition to their family that is worthy of them! I mean, not only does he look like James Dean as a 6 month old, but he is really sweet natured and outgoing!

We were able to do the photos at the W Hotel in downtown Minneapolis, where Jodi and Steve were staying for work.

Fun couple session planned – all I need is the couple!

Currently looking for a fun loving couple (engaged or married) to help with a cool new project!  Here are the details:

1) The shoot would be outdoors in either Minneapolis or St. Paul on a weekend in March (hoping to capture some snow but avoid the cold)

2) You are willing to wear something fabulous (woman in wedding dress or nice dressy outfit, man in a suit or blazer). This isn’t a trash-the-dress type of shoot, but you might get a little dirty. Nothing that wouldn’t be cleanable.

3) You’re up for shooting where I want to shoot for about two hours. (nothing too crazy, mostly urban areas)
4) You’re a real couple, willing to show your love on camera!

5) You are available one weekend day in March between around 2 and 4pm.

In return, you’ll get a DVD of your full-resolution digital files (a $500 value), the pictures posted in an online gallery, and 10% off any prints want to purchase.

Please send me an email with a picture of the both of you, and let me know your availability in March!

**Late february Update – Thanks for all the great responses! We are booked for March sessions, but hopefully will open up another session later this year.
